Mokokchung, December 21 (MTNews): The final match of the 1st TM Wati Volleyball Tournament organised by Rising Star Sporting Club, Mokokchung Village was played in front of a thousand spectators at Jungli Arjuma, Mokokchung Village Wednesday evening.
Anentsübo Sporting Club and Raven Sporting Club vied for the title in the final match but it was the former that came out on top winning the match in straight sets with the score line 25 – 17; 26 – 24, 25 – 16. The winners were awarded the trophy along with a cash prize of Rs.30000.
The guest of honor Limanungsang, President, All Ward Union, Mokokchung Town acknowledged the young players who have taken keen interest in sports in this fast growing technology world and urged them to keep the sporting spirit till the end.
Imliakum of Anentsübo Sporting Club received the Best Spikier; Best Setter award went to Sarilepzung of Anentsübo Sporting Club while the Player of the Tournament award went to Temjensoba of Raven Sporting Club.
