Mokokchung, 27 March (MTNews): A stretch of about 350-feet road that marks the boundary between Sangtemla and Arkong wards in Mokokchung town is seen here being paved with the contributions from resident families in the neighbourhood. The residents stated that it has been about 10 years since the said stretch of road was last mended.
Realizing that waiting for a positive response from the Government to repave the road was to no avail, the neighborhood residents decided to contribute among themselves to pave the road on their own. The blacktopping work is being undertaken with an estimated budget of around Rs 3 lakhs contributed by 8 families in the neighborhood.
