Mokokchung, 28 June (MTNews): Responding to the statement made earlier by the Working Committee of the Naga National Political Groups (WC NNPGs), the NSCN-IM on Wednesday said that “nothing could be further from the truth” and that history will judge the NNPGs.

In a rejoinder through its MIP, the NSCN-IM said that the “bloated statement of NNPGs against NSCN has been noted as it comes with a tinge of hypercritical tone.”

Dismissing the NNPGs’ statement as “most damningly ridiculous” because of its censorious tone that sounded “nothing more than hypocritical protest against NSCN,” the NSCN (IM) said it noted the NNPGs “dissenting voices and frustration showing their helplessness to continue the Naga political struggle.” It further said that the NNPGs “are no longer in control of themselves but somebody tightly holding the reins.”

Stating that the NNPGs have shown their “true colors as hapless creatures,” the NSCN-IM stated that the NNPGs were “cowardly running away from the national path not wanting to be dictated and be guided by the national principle of “one people one nation” that has carried the Naga political movement for more than seventy years.” This, the NSCN-IM said, was “idiotic and not patriotic.”

“For the NNPGs, if the load of national struggle is too heavy to carry on, the door is wide open for you to make an exit and leave the struggle to bona fide Naga national workers. But to go the way of wolves in sheep’s clothing is an anathema and nothing else. What is repulsive and deceitful is also morally repugnant to national taste,” it said.

Saying that the world at large is at pain as the communal conflict in Manipur has taken the turn of state government sponsored pogrom, the NSCN-IM said, “It is never the pleasure of NSCN in particular or the Nagas in general to be attracted by the troubled waters despite the unpleasant historical records.”

Questioning the NNPGs for indulging in “wild allegations to score the elusive points against the NSCN,” the NSCN-IM said “the world is not as dull as you want it to be when it comes to your tutored statement against NSCN.”
“History will judge you for your infidelity and for your act of shameless perfidy,” the NSCN-IM told the NNPGs in the rejoinder.
