Kohima, 7 July (MTNews): The Department of School Education (DoSE) has issued a notification informing all concerned individuals about the opportunity to nominate deserving teachers for the District/State Teachers Award 2023.
According to the notification, teachers who follow the State Curriculum and have demonstrated exceptional commitment, dedication, and industry in their profession are eligible for nomination. These teachers are those who have gone above and beyond their duties to enhance the educational experience of their students and have played a vital role in shaping their futures.
Administrative Officers of the respective areas, Head of the Institutions, and NGOs involved in the field of education at the Village/Sub-Division/District level have been encouraged to nominate deserving teachers for consideration for the District/State Teachers Award 2023. The nomination forms and eligibility conditions can be obtained from the District Education Office or downloaded from the Department’s official website.
In addition to the Teachers Award, the notification also highlights the availability of financial assistance for teachers with permanent disabilities or those suffering from terminal ailments. Teachers who meet the prescribed criteria, including those undergoing prolonged treatment for their ailments or those affected by natural calamities without receiving any relief from other sources, may apply for the grant of Financial Assistance. The prescribed format for application can be found on the Department’s website.
The School Education Department has set the deadline for the submission of duly filled nomination forms for Financial Assistance at the respective District Education Office or Sub-Divisional Education Office establishments as 20 July 2023. Interested teachers have been urged to submit their applications before the specified date to be considered for the grant.
