Kohima, 18 July (MTNews): The Directorate of Health & Family Welfare has issued a notification regarding the settlement of pending Medical Reimbursement (MR) cases, specifying the guidelines for differentiating between treatments initiated before and after the implementation of the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS).

According to the notification, treatments that were initiated before 1st November 2022, which preceded the implementation of CMHIS, will be considered for MR claims. However, these claims will undergo a thorough scrutiny and verification process conducted by the respective departments before approval. On the other hand, MR bills for treatments conducted after 1st November 2022, when CMHIS came into effect, will not be entertained under this settlement process.

The recent notification supersedes the previous Government letter dated 4th May 2023 and the Directorate Notification dated 8th May 2023.
