Kohima, 24 July (MTNews): Following the detection of positive cases of Lumpy Skin Disease (LDS) in four districts of the state, Nagaland has been officially declared as a Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) positive state. This declaration is made in accordance with “The Prevention and Control of Infectious and Contagious Diseases in Animals Act, 2009.”

 

A DIPR report said that the Directorate of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, in consultation with the concerned State Government Department, they will enforce all necessary preventive measures as per the advisory and guidelines issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, New Delhi.
