Kohima, 25 July (MTNews): The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has issued a notification to all Heads of Registered Institutions under its jurisdiction, announcing the launch of Project Veer Gatha 3.0 in the academic year 2023-24. The project, a collaboration between the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and the Ministry of Education (MoE), aims to inspire students with stories of bravery exhibited by Gallantry Awardees and instill values of patriotism and civic consciousness in the younger generation.

 

Project Veer Gatha was initially instituted in 2021 under the Gallantry Awards Portal (GAP) with the primary objective of disseminating the inspiring details of acts of valor performed by Gallantry Awardees. The project aimed to kindle the flame of patriotism in the hearts of students and encourage them to learn from the life stories of these extraordinary individuals.

 

As part of this, the students can frame different projects such as poem/paragraph/story/drawing/video on gallantry award winners. There will be winners at every level i.e. District Level, State & National level. The winner at National Level will be felicitated jointly by the Ministry of Education, Government of India & Ministry of Defense, Govt. of India in Delhi. All the winners at District and State levels will be felicitated by respective District and State.

 

All Heads of Registered Institutions have been directed to inform and popularize the Project Veer Gatha and to upload all the entries in MyGov Portal.
