Mokokchung, 26 July (MTNews): The Nagaland National Means cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS) registration process is now underway for Class 8 students studying in government schools across the state. Interested and eligible students can participate in the scholarship program by visiting the official website of Nagaland NMMS at scert.nagaland.gov.in. The deadline to complete the registration process is 31 August 2023.

 

To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe category must have secured a minimum of 50 percent marks in their Class 7 examinations. On the other hand, General category candidates need to achieve a slightly higher percentage of 55 marks to qualify for the scholarship.

 

The scholarship examination is scheduled for 4 November. Upon qualifying the examination, successful candidates will be granted a monthly scholarship amount of Rs 1,000 from Class 9 to 12. The scholarship aims to support and encourage students’ academic excellence, providing financial assistance for education.
