She elaborated on the significance of the word “Anava,” which translates to humility and gentleness in Hebrew. Dr Nadia expressed her gratitude to all the contributors who helped bring the hospital to fruition and emphasized the institution’s commitment to serving the community with patience, love, and care for all patients.

Currently, the hospital operates with 22 dedicated staff members and has a capacity of 40 beds, aimed at catering to the medical needs of patients in the region. The Anava Welfare Society in India is supported by the Anava Foundation in Switzerland, aligning their efforts to advance the noble cause behind the hospital’s establishment.

The hospital’s OPD services, including clinical examinations, pharmacy, lab, and other investigations, are now operational, and Dr Sungdi expressed his optimism that within the next two to three months, the hospital will commence admitting patients.

The inauguration ceremony also featured short speeches from the Chairman of Settsü village and the President of Changki Union Mokokchung.
