Impur, 24 August (MTNews): The 3rd State-Level Student Nurses’ Association of India (SNAI) Meet was successfully held on 22-23 August under the theme “Empowering Nursing Students: Prospects and Challenges” in Impur, Mokokchung.

Hosted by the School of Nursing (SON), Dr Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH), Mokokchung, the inaugural program was graced by Dr S Marina Yaden, Medical Superintendent of IMDH, and a special prayer for the nurses was offered by ABAM Executive Secretary Rev Dr Mar Pongener.

 

The meet’s convener, Vice Principal & SNA Advisor of SON IMDH, Temsusenla Aier, mentioned that this event provided student nurses a platform to come together and exchange various academic and non-academic knowledge and activities.

 

She added that the objective of the event was to elevate nursing personnel to compete at a higher level, enhancing their knowledge and skills. The two-day event featured an array of competitions, both academic and non-academic. Temsusenla Aier, Vice Principal & SNA Advisor of SON IMDH, informed that the winners of these events would represent the state at the SNAI National Level meet scheduled for the end of the year.

 

During the valedictory program, a running trophy was introduced by the School of Nursing IMDH. Christian Institute of Health Sciences & Research (CIHSR) was declared the champion of the 3rd State-Level SNAI Meet for their overall performance in various competitions.

 

The two-day meet was attended by more than 320 delegates, including ANM, GNM, and B.Sc. Nursing students from nine institutions across Nagaland. The 4th State-Level Student Nurses’ Association of India Meet in 2025 is scheduled to be held in Dimapur.
