Mokokchung, 6 September (MTNews): The Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) has slashed the rate of tomato to Rs 50 from Rs 70 with immediate effect. This was informed through a notification from ADC & Administrator, MMC Chumlamo Humtsoe on 6 September.
It informed that non-compliance to the notification shall be penalized.
This is the second time in less than a month that the MMC has slashed the price of tomato in Mokokchung. It was last slashed from Rs 130 per kg to Rs 70 per kg on 23 August.
