Mokokchung, 04 October (MTNews): In a tragic incident on Wednesday at approximately 11 am, 28-year-old Imnayachet Mollier lost his life in an accident near Patkai Bridge, Chümoukedima. According to sources, Good Samaritans rushed him to the Referral Hospital but was declared brought dead.

Mollier was serving as the Social and Culture Secretary of the Ao Kaketshir Mungdang (AKM) and media secretary of the Dimapur Ao Youth Organization (DAYO) Foothills Unit. He was reportedly on his way to Kohima in his two-wheeler when the accident occurred.
He was supposed to catch up with his AKM colleagues to meet the Chief Secretary of Nagaland at 2 pm today. “He was traveling on official duty when the tragedy struck,” AKM confirmed.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that his funeral service will be held at his residence in Kuhuboto on Thursday at 10 am. He was born on 10 March 1995.
AKM, CNSA, Ao Senden, MTLT condoles
AKM President, Lanutoshi Aier and General Secretary, Satemmongba said in a condolence message that Mollier’s dedication and passion for their organization were truly unmatched, and that his loss leaves a void that can never be filled. “His vibrant spirit and unwavering commitment to promote true values within our community will be remembered fondly. His contributions have left a lasting impact on all of us,” AKM said.
The Central Nagaland Students’ Association (CNSA) has also mourned the untimely demise of Mollier. CNSA said Mollier was a dedicated and an able leader who devoted his life to serving the student community and the people in general.
CNSA said Mollier’s demise is a great loss not only to the Ao community but to the Nagas as well. “His contributions to the society in various capacities are highly appreciated. His exemplary life, his selfless and warm personality will always be remembered,” CNSA said.
The Ao Senden also expressed shock and sadness at the sudden demise of the AKM leader. The Ao Senden prayed that God would grant solace to the bereaved family and loved ones of the deceased as well as to the AKM at this time of loss.
The Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem (Mokokchung Town Youth Organization) has also conveyed its condolences and prayed that the Almighty God give strength and solace to the bereaved family. MTLT said that the passing of Mollier in the prime of his youth is a great loss for the Naga people in general and the Ao community in particular.
Schools in Mokokchung to observe one-minute silent prayer
District Education Officer (DEO), Mokokchung, Sentinenla has informed that all the schools, both government and private, under Mokokchung district are requested to observe a one-minute silent prayer during morning chapel/assembly on 5 October to pay respect to the departed soul.
