Kohima, November 6 (MTNews): The Phüsachodümi Union Kohima (PUK) celebrated its 37th session with the theme ‘Looking Beyond’ at the State Academy Hall, Kohima, on Saturday, November 11. Küdecho Khamo, the guest speaker and Advisor of the Civil Administrative Works Department and Taxes, shared insights during the event.
Addressing the audience, Khamo emphasized the competitiveness of the world in all aspects, urging the community to develop a roadmap or vision for the next decade to stay competitive globally. Particularly addressing the younger generation, he stressed the need for them to prepare for the competitive world, encouraging them to take responsibility for their future. Khamo called upon young people to become professionals in their chosen fields, reminding them that success requires hard work and honesty.
Additionally, Khamo advised the gathering to prioritize letting God guide their lives and emphasized the importance of working for the upliftment of society. Seeking the blessings of the elders and the community, the advisor expressed his commitment to working for the betterment of society.
Earlier in the event, PUK’s President Vemücho Chüzho and Joint Secretary Vefüyi Vero presented reports and remarks. The program included a performance of a folk tune by Thüpurüle Theluo and friends, and a special presentation by the 75th Parents Choir. Mütsivoyi Kotso led the program, and Associate Pastor of Chakhesang Baptist Church Ministers’ Hill Kohima, David Chüzho, offered a prayer for the outgoing and incoming PUK teams. The celebration concluded with a union feast.
