During his address at the inaugural function, Khamo voiced concerns regarding land ownership and encroachment in the state, highlighting how these issues hinder developmental activities. He urged the people not to misuse Article 371 (A) but to utilize it for other political rights, which provide constitutional guarantees.

Khamo called upon landowners across the state to reflect on past agreements where land was allocated for development purposes, emphasizing the importance of honoring these agreements. He stressed that any attempt by the present generation to reclaim or encroach upon such lands is not only legally illegal but also morally unethical and goes against tradition, warning against the repercussions for future generations.

Underlining the significance of development in fostering societal progress, Khamo commended the state’s commitment to comprehensive development under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.

Expressing zero tolerance for proxy teaching, Khamo asserted that such practices should not be permitted within the Chozuba Assembly constituency. He urged Village Councils and Village Education Committees (VECs) to remain vigilant and report any instances of proxy teaching for government intervention.

Furthermore, Khamo emphasized that teaching is a noble profession requiring full-time dedication to nurturing young minds. He emphasized the need for educators who are committed to the holistic development of their students.

In recognition of the invaluable support received from various stakeholders, including Assistant Headmaster (AHM) Vekhozo, public figures, village leaders, and church authorities from five villages, Khamo expressed gratitude for their contributions towards the school’s development. He specifically acknowledged their efforts in constructing a chapel, nearing completion, and the forthcoming community hostel.

Encouraging students to aspire towards greatness with unwavering determination, Khamo advised them to lead lives guided by principles of faith and compassion.

The report on school building construction was presented by Kuduve Keyho, Class 1 Contractor.

The event was led by AHM Vekhozo, who also delivered the welcome address. Notably, GHS Japan Riba Chozuba serves five feeder villages, namely Chozuba Village, Runguzu Village, Runguzu Nasa Village, Khusomi Village, and Chozu Basa Village. Vekhozo highlighted the collaborative efforts between churches and Village Councils in the construction of the School Chapel Hall and Community Hostel.
