The third day of the 3rd Edition of the Women’s Champions Trophy witnessed another series of action-packed cricket matches. The Zungki Slingers faced the Tizu Warriors at Sovima Cricket Ground, while the Dhansiri Titans took on the Chathe Dazzlers at Nagaland Cricket Stadium on May 17th.

At Sovima Cricket Ground, the Zungki Slingers displayed remarkable skills and teamwork, securing a resounding victory over the Tizu Warriors by 10 wickets. Priyanka Karmakar, who earned the Player of the Match title, shone brightly by contributing significantly in both batting and bowling. She scored an unbeaten 30 runs and took 4 wickets for just 19 runs.

The Tizu Warriors set a target of 70 runs, being all out in 22.4 overs. The Slingers chased down the target without losing any wickets, finishing at 71/0 in just 14 overs.

Illuneule of the Tizu Warriors also played well, scoring 19* runs, but struggled to build momentum against the dominant bowling attack of the Zungki Slingers.

In the encounter between the Dhansiri Titans and Chathe Dazzlers at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, the match was cut short due to a wet outfield, resulting in the match being abandoned. However, before the match came to a halt, the Titans had already set a target of 128/10, bolstered by a brilliant 74* from Alemienla.

Najmeen was exceptional for the Dazzlers, claiming 4 wickets for 17 runs. The Dazzlers had reached 45/1 in 11 overs, with Vipeni Awomi at 13*, when play was suspended.
