In accordance with the notification from the State Election Commission, T Lankonsen Tsanglao, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) and Returning Officer (RO) for Mangkolemba Town Council, has issued an official notification regarding the upcoming Urban Local Bodies (ULB) election.

It was informed that the ULB election will be conducted to elect members for wards 1 to 9 of the Mangkolemba Town Council, with wards 1, 4, and 7 specifically designated for women candidates.

Nomination papers are to be submitted by candidates or their proposers to ADC & RO Mangkolemba Town Council T. Lankonsen Tsanglao or to SDO (Civil) & Assistant RO Mangkolemba Town Council Hotolu Sema at the office chamber. The submission period is set from June 7th (starting from 11 am) until June 11th, 2024 (until 3 pm).

Nomination papers can be obtained during the aforementioned period and location.

Scrutiny of the nomination papers is scheduled for June 13, 2024 (Thursday), commencing at 11 am at the ADC & RO office, Mangkolemba Town Council.

Candidates seeking to withdraw their candidature must submit a notice of withdrawal, either personally, through their proposer, or via their election agent (accompanied by an authorization letter from the candidate), to the Office of ADC & RO Mangkolemba Town Council before 3 pm on June 18th, 2024 (Tuesday). In the event of a contested election, polling will take place on June 26th, 2024 (Wednesday), from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Furthermore, the counting of votes and declaration of results are scheduled for June 29th, 2024 (Saturday).
