The Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) has announced a revision of vegetable prices within its jurisdiction, effective immediately. This adjustment follows a recent increase in rates at the base market in Assam and supersedes an earlier notice issued on August 12, 2024.
According to the updated rates, the prices for various vegetables within the MMC area are now set as follows:
· Potato: Rs 45 per kilogram
· Tomato: Rs 80 per kilogram
· Onion: Rs 60 per kilogram
· Green Chili: Rs 100 per kilogram
· Cabbage: Rs 60 per kilogram
· Carrot: Rs 150 per kilogram
· Lady’s Finger: Rs 70 per kilogram
· Garlic (Small): Rs 280 per kilogram
· Garlic (Big): Rs 340 per kilogram
It mentioned that non-compliance to the above rates by any vendors shall be penalized.
