The Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan attended the Graduation ceremony of St. Joseph’s College Jakhama, on 6th September 2024.

Addressing the event, Governor La Ganesan commended the institution for its nurturing environment and its role in empowering students to excel academically, professionally, and personally. He praised the college’s efforts in maintaining its reputation and acknowledged its recent reaccreditation with an ‘A’ grade by the National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC), a significant achievement reflecting the dedication of the management, faculty, and students.

Governor Ganesan emphasized that while education is vital for societal progress, the inclusion of spiritual and moral values is essential in shaping responsible citizens. He encouraged students to cherish their college memories and integrate themselves into society as intellectuals. The Governor further commended the students for their hard work in their respective disciplines and have been adjudged to be worthy of the degrees that are being awarded. He reminded them to always remember in their hearts to be an integral part of the nation-building process, using the capabilities they have acquired from the institution.

He also highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Amrit Kaal,” a period of renewal and resurgence, aiming for a developed India by 2047. The Governor urged the students to play an active role in this journey, reminding them that their energy, creativity, and commitment to patriotism would be instrumental in shaping the nation’s future.
