The two-day Technology Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurs (TIDE 2.0) program, an initiative by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), concluded today with three entrepreneurs from Nagaland emerging as top winners. The event, which focused on supporting ICT-enabled technologies across various sectors such as healthcare, education, agriculture, financial inclusion, and clean energy, saw the participation of over 35 startups.

The top three entrepreneurs selected are: Moalong Ao, founder of Splinxify; Ididaule Ngia, founder of Earthian Ki; and Longtili C. Sangtam, founder of KiphireMart.

These entrepreneurs were shortlisted from a Techathon held on September 9 and moved to the next stage of business plan pitching. As the top winners of the TIDE 2.0 initiative, they are now eligible for the prestigious MeitY Entrepreneur-in-Residence and MeitY Grants.

Day two of the event featured intense pitching sessions, with participants competing in a highly competitive environment. The program provided a valuable platform for networking and business development, with standout ideas rewarded with cash prizes.

Additionally, the shortlisted candidates received an opportunity for incubation at the IIM Calcutta Innovation Park (IIMCIP), along with co-branded certificates from MeitY and IIMCIP.

The MeitY TIDE 2.0 Northeast Techathon-X4 was organized by IIMCIP in collaboration with YouthNet Nagaland. This event, under the TIDE 2.0 program, aims to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in the Northeastern region.

In a significant move, IIM Calcutta Innovation Park announced its collaboration with YouthNet Nagaland on September 9. This partnership aims to empower startups by offering commercialization support and scaling opportunities. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed by Nuneseno Chase, Director of YouthNet, and Neikepekho Shosahie, Manager of YouthNet Incubation Centre (YIC), alongside IIMCIP’s Pranjal Konwar and Sadique Mannan, outlines a joint commitment to advancing entrepreneurship and research-driven innovations.

Entrepreneurs participating in this initiative will benefit from extensive support, including proof-of-concept development, access to lab facilities, mentorship, and vital market and financial linkages. This collaboration between IIMCIP and YouthNet is expected to drive success stories both regionally and nationally.
