The Mokokchung district football team, comprising 20 players along with a team manager, coach, and physiotherapist, departed for Tuensang Town today to represent the district in the prestigious 23rd Inter-District Football Championship, Dr. T. Ao Trophy, 2024, to be held from 17 to 27 September.
The team was sent off from Imkongmeren Sports Complex in the presence of the Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Phoji, and the District Sports Officer, Anguvito Sumi, along with officials of MDFA. The send-off event was held at 8:30 a.m. this morning.
The MDFA extended its gratitude to all sponsors, supporters, and officials who contributed to the team’s journey to the Dr. T. Ao Trophy. The association also expressed optimism about the team’s prospects and looks forward to an exciting display of football prowess at the championship.
The following players and team support staff have been selected to participate in the 23rd Inter-District Football Championship, Dr. T. Ao Trophy 2024, to be held in Tuensang Town from September 17, 2024, onwards.
