Nousi Rüzhü, Khrietho FC Meriema, and Kohima College Kohima won their respective matches in the ongoing 24th NSF Martyrs Memorial Trophy today at IG Stadium Kohima.


In the first match, Nousi Rüzhû emerged victorious with a 3-2 win over New Reserve Y.O., thanks to a strong offensive performance in the second half and a decisive goal in extra time. Nousi Rüzhû scored their first goal in the 11th minute through Kedolhouvo Naprantsu, followed by Kedovituo Miasalhou’s goal in the 51st minute. Vikerütuo Tachü sealed the win with a goal in extra time. New Reserve Y.O. ‘s Mezhuzhoulie Zashümo scored twice, in the 33rd and 68th minutes, but it wasn’t enough for his team. The Player of the Match was Mezhuzhoulie Zashümo for his outstanding two-goal performance despite his team’s loss.

In the second match, Khrietho FC Meriema dominated the game, securing a comfortable 2-0 win against Jalukie Town Youth Organisation. Boresh scored the opening goal in the 4th minute, and Petevizo Kezieo added the second in the 42nd minute. Jalukie Town Y.O. struggled to break through Khrietho FC’s defense, ending their campaign in the tournament.

The final match of the day featured Halcyons FC facing Kohima College Kohima. Despite Halcyons scoring in the second half, Kohima College came back with three goals to secure a 3-1 victory.

Kelevi Seyie scored the first goal in the 46th minute, while Pauzie Haikuibe added two goals in the 64th and 69th minutes. Mangkholen Kuki scored the lone goal for Halcyons FC in the 66th minute. The Player of the Match was Menuokhrielie of Kohima College Kohima, for his commanding presence and contributions in both defense and attack.
