The football turf at the Outdoor Stadium in Jang and the High Altitude Stadium in Tawang, both in Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh, has been tested and certified to the “FIFA Quality Programme for Football Turf – FIFA Quality” standard by FIFA.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu announced this achievement on his X handle on Saturday. Khandu stated that the certification of Jang’s football turf stands as a testament to the state’s dedication to the growth of football. “We believe that good infrastructure will pave the way for nurturing young talent and elevating sports culture in the region,” he added.
In another post, Khandu announced that the High Altitude Stadium in Tawang District has received the “prestigious FIFA QUALITY certification for its football turf, confirming our commitment to providing world-class sports facilities.”
