The much-anticipated launch of the book On Being Feminine by Lanuinla, a work aimed at redefining the concept of femininity, took place today at Urban Cafe, Mokokchung. The author, Lanuinla, speaking at her book release said that the book is not just a collection of pages, but a deeper exploration of what it means to be feminine. According to Lanuinla, femininity has been widely misunderstood and misinterpreted, and through her book, she seeks to shed light on the true strength and essence of women. She encouraged both women and men to read the book to better understand the concept of femininity, highlighting the importance of challenging preconceived notions.


Lanuinla expressed her gratitude to several key figures who endorsed her work, including Dr. Theyiesinou Keditsu, Rev. Talijungla Longkumer, and Dr. Zulunungsang Lemtur. She also shared her academic background, holding a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Divinity, a Master of Arts in Economics, and a Master of Theology in the Old Testament. Currently, she serves as a lecturer at Everest Theological Institute (ETI) in Kathmandu, where she teaches in the Department of Old Testament.

The foreword of the book was written by Rev. Dr. Limatula Longkumer, adding further depth and insight to the work. Marsanen Imsong, President of Ao Senden, officially launched the book, congratulating Lanuinla and wishing her success in this new venture.
The launch event featured a moment of dedication and prayer, setting a reflective tone for the proceedings. A reading from the book followed, during which the author recited her poem “She Will Survive,” offering a glimpse into the empowering and thought-provoking content of her work.

The program concluded with a closing prayer, and was chaired by Imtiwala Imchen, research student, CTC.
