The Department of Youth Resources & Sports informed that Team Nagaland successfully participated in the National Youth Festival 2025, organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, from 10th to 12th January 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

A contingent of 31 participants and 3 officials represented Nagaland, taking part in various competitive events that highlighted their talent, creativity, and leadership. The team participated in Group Folk Song, Group Folk Dance, Painting, Declamation, Science Mela, and Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue.

The team demonstrated the vibrant cultural heritage of Nagaland through group folk song and folk dance performances, while the painting, declamation, and science mela contests allowed participants to display their creativity and intellect. The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue provided a valuable platform for young leaders to share their visions for a progressive India.

The Department commended the participants for their hard work and dedication, which brought pride and recognition to the State. Such events not only celebrate the diversity and talent of

India’s youth but also foster unity, innovation, and leadership among participants.

The Department also expressed its gratitude to the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports for providing an excellent platform for the youth to engage, learn, and grow, and remains committed to empowering and nurturing the youth of Nagaland.
