KV Lumami, Nagaland University, on January 23, 2025, hosted an interschool quiz competition to celebrate Parakram Divas, honoring Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, and promoting Pariksha Pe Charcha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative for exam readiness. The event saw 55 participants from KV Lumami, JNV Lumami, and GHSS Akuluto. The quiz, based on the TV series Bharat Hai Hum, began with a motivational speech by the principal, Amit Kumar Gupta, and featured episodes on freedom fighters like Mangal Pandey and Rani Lakshmi Bai. Winners received certificates and cash prizes, while others were awarded participation certificates, fostering patriotism and academic enthusiasm.


According to a press release from NU PRO Peter Ki, KV NU Lumami was established in 2017. The Vidyalaya is run by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) under the Ministry of Education and is affiliated with CBSE. It aims to provide uninterrupted educational facilities to the children of Nagaland University employees, central government employees, defense personnel, and employees of autonomous bodies who may be transferred across states, with easy access to any Kendriya Vidyalaya in the country.
