The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) today held a protest rally at Congress Bhavan, Kohima, as part of the ongoing ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan Abhiyan’. The campaign aims to honor Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and uphold the principles of the Indian Constitution.

Addressing the gathering, S Supongmeren Jamir, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) and NPCC President, said the protest was a strong opposition to the BJP’s alleged remarks against Dr. Ambedkar, the Father of the Constitution, and their perceived attempts to undermine constitutional values. He reiterated the Congress Party’s commitment to protecting the Constitution and ensuring justice and equality for all.

Khriedi Theunuo, Working President of the NPCC, also spoke at the rally, expressing concerns that the BJP’s actions were eroding the foundation of the Constitution and tarnishing the legacies of leaders like Dr. Ambedkar and Mahatma Gandhi.

He further stated that a Nation like India cannot do justice to rights and aspirations of its people without the Constitution, highlighting the significance of constitutional principles in preserving the country’s unity and democracy.
