The Phek District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) held its monthly meeting on February 10, 2025, at the DPDB hall, Phek, under the chairmanship of Z Nyusietho Nyuthe, MLA & Advisor for New & Renewable Energy, NSDMA.

Chairman DPDB Z Nyusietho Nyuthe informed the board that the inauguration of Meluri District will be held on February 21, 2025, at Meluri District Headquarters. He urged all district office heads under Phek to attend the event without fail.
The meeting also deliberated on the importance of upgrading and improving the approach road to Phek Government College. Chairman DPDB, Z Nyusietho Nyuthe, and Minister KG Kenye urged AUDA, the Department of Urban Development, Phek, and the Chairman of Phek Town Council to take the necessary steps for the road’s improvement at the earliest.
Addressing the meeting, KG Kenye urged members, particularly Heads of Offices, to enforce a strong work culture in their respective departments. He also commended Meluri for attaining full-fledged district status.
The board also discussed and forwarded proposals for the new registration of societies, including the Entrepreneur Reformation Company Limited in Chazouba town and Educare Society in Pfutsero, to the concerned authority for approval.
Additionally, detailed departmental activities and achievements were presented via PowerPoint by Enyiwekha Wezah, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Phek, and Dr. Vethihulu from the Department of Health & Family Welfare.
