The Atoizu Town Council (ATC) organized a Sanitation Awareness Program at Asukhuto / Khelhoshe Polytechnic Atoizu (KPA) on February 14, 2025. The event aimed to educate the public on the importance of cleanliness, hygiene, and proper waste management.
The program was chaired by Alokali, Councillor of ATC, with an invocation by Toto, Pastor of the Prayer Centre KPA. The keynote address emphasized the need for community participation in maintaining sanitation standards.
Short speeches were delivered by Kitoli Naje, Chairperson of ATC, Nukutulu S Venuh (NCS), Additional Deputy Commissioner of Atoizu, and Ivuka Z Katty, Deputy Chairman of ATC. They highlighted the impact of poor sanitation on health and encouraged responsible waste disposal practices.
The program concluded with a benediction by Anato, Pastor of Asukhuto Baptist Church. Community leaders, church representatives, lecturers, teachers, student bodies, health workers, and citizens attended, showing strong support for the initiative.
