In a powerful display of nationalism and solidarity, citizens of Wokha, led by Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Patton, organized a Tiranga rally in Wokha town on 15th May 2025, extending their support for Operation Sindoor, a DIPR report said.

The rally witnessed participation from ex-servicemen, members of the Lotha Students’ Union, students from various schools, NGOs, and civil society representatives. Addressing the gathering, Patton emphasized the significance of the movement, reiterating the slogan: “No Place for Terrorism.” He commended the leadership of the Prime Minister, acknowledging the critical decisions that led to the success of Operation Sindoor.

As a mark of respect, a one-minute silent prayer was observed to honour those who lost their lives in the recent clash between India and Pakistan. Ex-servicemen present at the event reaffirmed their commitment to the nation, expressing their readiness to serve once again if duty calls.

Deputy Chief Minister Patton assured the people that their dedication and unwavering spirit would be conveyed to the central government. He reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that the voices of those willing to serve the country in times of need are heard at the highest level.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Oren Lotha, while Renchamo Humtsoe chaired the event, ensuring its smooth execution.
