The Office of the Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) has announced a renewal and registration drive for non-locals residing within Mokokchung District who have yet to renew or register their Inner Line Permit (ILP) and AKM Census Card.
The registration process is scheduled from May 20 to May 23, 2025, and will take place daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the AKM Conference Hall.
AKM has appealed to all Ward Chairmen, Village Councils, Employers, and concerned Guarantors to ensure that all non-locals within their jurisdiction complete their registration during the designated period. The Office highlighted that illegal immigration poses a significant threat to the indigenous people of Nagaland, as well as the preservation of Naga cultural identity.
“We expect the continued cooperation of the administration and the support of all citizens of Mokokchung District to ensure successful implementation of this process,” the Office stated.
Non-locals are required to bring the following documents for renewal or registration:
1. Valid Inner Line Permit (ILP)
2. AKM Census Card
3. A Guarantor
4. No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Ward or Village Council Chairman, which must include the detailed house owner’s name, house number, name of the tenant, and bear the seal and signature of the competent authority.
