The Nagaland Football Association (NFA) has extended an invitation to all District Football Associations, football clubs and academies, schools, educational institutions, and members of the football community to join the nationwide celebration of the AFC Grassroots Football Day on May 23, 2025. The event is held under the aegis of the All India Football Federation (AIFF), aimed at promoting grassroots football development across the country.
This year, the AIFF is focusing not only on the growth and development of grassroots football but also on how football can contribute to climate action and sustainable development. The celebration will be held under the theme, “Football for the Goals.” Through this initiative, the AIFF aims to promote environmental awareness and encourage the football community to take steps toward a greener future alongside football activities.
The NFA has shared branding materials and detailed guidelines for the “AFC Grassroots Football Day” and “Football for the Goals” activities, which are included within the Pre-Event Form link. All participating entities have been requested to complete the form to confirm their participation and to share event photos and videos at nagalandfa@gmail.com to help document the collective impact of the celebrations.
