The 3rd Tseminyu District Badminton Tournament 2025 successfully culminated on 28th June 2025 at the Tseminyu Badminton Indoor Stadium.

Deputy Commissioner of Tseminyu, Japheth Woch (NCS), graced the closing function as the Special Guest and gave away certificates and cash prizes to the winners. The tournament featured a total of 9 categories, including 35+ and 45+ events.

In his address, the Deputy Commissioner encouraged everyone to continue supporting and promoting young budding players. He lauded the Tseminyu District Badminton Association (TDBA) for its active initiatives in organizing regular district-level tournaments and coaching camps, calling TDBA the most active sports association in the district. He emphasized that Nagas must develop a strong sporting culture, which not only benefits individuals but also strengthens communities and helps combat social vices affecting the youth.

All the players displayed impressive sportsmanship and thrilled the crowd with their exceptional talent. One of the tournament highlights was 62-year-old veteran Mr. I. Temjen Ao, who defied age to partner with K. Zeiphrü and win the 35+ category.
