Public urged to cooperate; Mokokchung Police issues travel advisory
The Physical Endurance Test (PET) for the Forest Guard Recruitment 2025 in Mokokchung district will be conducted from July 7 to 9, starting at 5:00 AM each day. The test will begin from the main gate of Senayangba Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Ungma, and proceed along a designated route toward Longkhum Alichen Junction (2nd Gate, Alichen).
In a press release issued by the Office of the Divisional Forest Officer, Mokokchung, candidates are informed to report by 4:30 AM for verification and briefing. They must carry a valid ID proof, admit card, drinking water, and any necessary medication. Suitable walking attire and footwear are mandatory. The route map can be accessed by scanning a QR code available at the starting point.
The department also notified that qualified candidates from the physical test will be announced on the notice board of the Divisional Forest Office and on the official website of the Forest Department.
The written test is scheduled for July 12, 2025 (Saturday) at Mayangnokcha Government Higher Secondary School, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Exam gates will open at 9:00 AM and close sharply at 9:45 AM.
Traffic advisory issued by Mokokchung Police
In connection with the endurance test, the Office of the Superintendent of Police, Mokokchung, has issued a traffic advisory for the stretch between Senayangba GHSS, Ungma, and 2nd Gate, Alichen from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM on all three days of the PET.
The police have urged commuters to exercise extreme caution, especially near blind curves, and avoid parking along the route. The public has also been advised to maintain a safe distance from candidates and officials. Any assistance needed can be sought from on-duty officials.
The Forest Department and the police have requested residents of Ungma and Longkhum villages, as well as regular commuters along the affected stretch, to cooperate and support the recruitment process. The early morning test is expected to bring a high footfall of candidates and officials along village roads and forest paths.
