MLAs Kevipodi Sophie and Dr. Tseilhoutuo Rhutso, along with the Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, B. Henok Buchem, NCS, Additional SP Kohima, Soriso Quinker, NPS, and other government officials, visited the severely damaged stretch of road near the BSF camp in Kohima on 4th August 2025.
The inspection was prompted by the road becoming nearly unmotorable due to the constant movement of heavy vehicles. The visiting team assessed the situation on the ground and held discussions on urgent measures to restore the road.
Officials assured that immediate steps would be taken to make the road motorable and to ensure safe passage for daily commuters. The authorities are also exploring long-term solutions to prevent further deterioration. (DIPR)
