The Media Committee of New Model College, Mangkolemba, organised a Photography Competition on the theme “My Favourite Photography” to commemorate World Photography Day.
The initiative, conceptualised by M. Rhondeno Yanthan, Assistant Professor and Co-Convenor of the Media Committee, aimed to promote peace, brotherhood, and provide a platform for talented individuals to showcase their skills.
Open to all under the Mangkolemba Sub-Division, the competition saw enthusiastic participation, with 34 entries received. Alemjungshi secured the first prize, while Chubayanger Longchari claimed second place. Reshikala Longchar won the Popularity Award.
The first prize winner received Rs 1500 along with a certificate, while the second-place and Popularity Award winners received Rs 1000 each and certificates. All other participants were presented with e-certificates. The cash prizes were sponsored by Dr. Benjongkumba, Principal of the College.
Addressing the event, Potsiesie Kajiri, Assistant Professor and Convenor of the Media Committee, encouraged students to nurture their talents and aim for higher platforms. He also expressed gratitude to the participants, sponsors, staff, students, and his Co-Convenor for their support in successfully executing the programme.
