MGM College Dimapur successfully hosted its second Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meeting of the academic year on August 23 at the College Auditorium, reinforcing the importance of collaboration among parents, teachers, and students for academic success and holistic development.

The meeting, chaired by PTA President Thungbeni, brought together Principal Dr. R.K. Behera, Administrator Fr. George, faculty members, parents, and student representatives. General Secretary Benjamin opened the session with a welcome address, highlighting the significance of parent-teacher cooperation in nurturing student growth.

Presenting a detailed report, Principal Dr. Behera outlined the institution’s academic progress, extracurricular achievements, and upcoming initiatives to strengthen student development.

Administrator Fr. George stressed the importance of discipline and consistent performance, stating that academic excellence requires the combined effort of parents, faculty, and students.

Faculty members elaborated on classroom engagement, performance monitoring, and mentorship programs currently in place. Parents actively contributed to the deliberations, offering constructive suggestions and raising concerns related to curriculum load, examination schedules, and infrastructural needs.

The PTA body reviewed action points from the first meeting, acknowledged progress made, and approved new proposals to enhance student support services. Discussions centered on improving quality education and reinforcing student discipline.

Concluding the session, PTA President Thungbeni delivered a vote of thanks, appreciating the cooperative spirit and reaffirming the PTA’s commitment to fostering student success through joint efforts.
