After an absence of eight years, the Miss Wokha beauty pageant will return on November 15, 2025, in Wokha town. The announcement was made at a press conference held at the Lotha Eloe Hoho (LEH) Ki, jointly organized by LEH and Glamours Event Management.

LEH President Thungbeni Ngullie expressed excitement over the revival of Miss Wokha, which was last held in 2017. She explained that the event had been discontinued due to financial and logistical challenges. However, with renewed support from various agencies and the collaboration with Glamours Event Management, the pageant has been revived.
Ngullie stressed that the event is not only a celebration of beauty but also a platform for young women to showcase their talents and confidence while engaging with society. “We believe such platforms play an important role in today’s world. They encourage participants to use their voice, knowledge, and skills for the betterment of society,” she said.
She also clarified that Miss Wokha is distinct from Mr. & Miss Tokhü, which is held annually in November. Miss Tokhü focuses entirely on the Lotha language, culture, and heritage, while Miss Wokha seeks to embrace a wider cultural scope and promote social awareness and community unity.
Event Director Thungbeni Kikon of Glamours Event Management provided details about the auditions. The first round will take place on September 20 at Zumba Fitness Centre, Tsumang (opposite DC Office, Wokha), and at Lotha Hoho Ki, Kohima, starting from 10 a.m. The Dimapur audition date will be announced later. The audition process will be supported by the Lotha Students’ Union in Wokha and respective student unions in Kohima and Dimapur.
Eligibility requires candidates to be unmarried indigenous Lotha women aged between 18 and 25 years, with a minimum height of 5 ft 3 in (160 cm). Interested individuals may attend auditions directly.
Kikon further announced that the Miss Wokha winner will gain a wildcard entry to compete in Miss Nagaland, with the Beauty and Aesthetics Society of Nagaland (BASN) extending its partnership for the event. She also welcomed sponsorships and encouraged candidates or supporters to reach out through 7005764490 (Wokha) or 9787551962 / 8787551962 (Kohima) for further information.
