Impur, May 2 (MTNews): Nagaland Minister of Health and Family Welfare, S. Pangnyu Phom, formally inaugurated the Assistant Nursing Midwifery (ANM) School of Nursing Impur Christian Hospital (ICH) on May 2, 2022, which was dedicated by Rev. Dr. Mar Pongener, Executive Secretary, ABAM. Nagaland ministers Metsubo Jamir and N. Bongkhao Konyak, Advisor for the Department of Underdeveloped Area (DUDA) during the occasion.
Speaking during the ceremony, S. Pangnyu Phom, said that such initiation by a faith-based organization is very encouraging for both the government and all other organizations and thanked ABAM and Board of Trustees, ICH for being an example. ABAM is the first organization in Nagaland to come up with such an initiation and it is a message for all the people in Nagaland that only in the collective endeavor there is a holistic achievement he added, he said. He also expressed extending the needed support for the running of ICH.
While Dr. Sashimeren Aier, Chairman, Board of Trustees, ICH, Impur, said that established in 1912, Impur Christian Hospital has been significantly instrumental in healing ministry. The opening of the ANM School of Nursing is another milestone in the history of ICH and is a dream come true. It is an honor for ICH and ABAM to have been permitted by the state Nursing School Council to become one of the School centers of ANM, the School of Nursing in the State. The hospital is committed to working towards giving holistic healing, he added.
