The Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA) has resolved to rename the “Kohima Open Volleyball Tournament” as the “G Rio Memorial Volleyball Trophy” beginning with this year’s 12th Edition Open Tournament.
With a total prize pool of Rs 4,60,000, the event will also feature exciting individual awards, citations and trophies.
In a joint meeting held today between the KDVA and the organizing committee, it was resolved to conduct the tournament in the last week of October 2025. In this connection, the KDVA invites all volleyball enthusiasts, players and teams to be prepared for this year’s prestigious tournament.
Meanwhile, the KDVA has constituted the organizing committee with Mhalelhou Mere as convenor, Rukravolie Rulho as co-convenor, Dr Keneikhoto Yano as secretary, Khriesamhalie Daniel Solo as treasurer, Visasielie Suhu as ex-officio, and Khrietuo Dahou and Vitso Rio as members.
