The All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association (ANPSA) Wokha Unit, in collaboration with the Department of Youth Resources and Sports, Government of Nagaland, successfully organized the first-ever U-14 Inter-School Sepak Takraw Tournament under the theme ”Catch Them Young.”
The championship concluded with Regimental School DEF Wokha emerging as winners in both the boys’ and girls’ categories, defeating Cistus School Wokha in the finals.
T. Zuchanthung Lotha, Vice President of the Wokha District Sepak Takraw Association, delivered the keynote address, urging young participants to take the game seriously and seize the opportunities provided through ANPSA and the department. He emphasized that Sepak Takraw holds vast potential for players to excel at the national and international levels, adding that Nagas’ natural athleticism and adaptability make them well-suited for the sport.
James Ezung administered the oath, and President of ANPSA Wokha Unit, K Edward Ngullie, delivered the vote of thanks. T Zuchanthung Lotha presented prizes to the champions and runners-up.
