The Naga community is mourning the demise of L. Langto Angh, father of Health & Family Welfare Minister P Paiwang Konyak, who passed away on 25 September at Zion Hospital, Dimapur, after a prolonged illness.
KG Kenye, Minister of Power and PDA spokesperson, expressed deep grief, describing the late Angh as a “tall leader, patriot, and faithful servant of God.” Kenye highlighted his contributions to Naga society and said his legacy of courage, service, and leadership will be cherished for generations.
Imkong L Imchen, Advisor for Information & Public Relations and Soil & Water Conservation, also conveyed condolences, calling Langto Angh a respected custodian of Wancho traditions. Imchen praised his leadership, commitment to education, social transformation, and devotion to the Christian faith, noting that he leaves behind a legacy of integrity and service.
Both leaders extended heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed for comfort and strength during this difficult time.
Advisor Tovihito Ayemi also expressed his condolences, remembering Langto Angh as a humble and upright leader whose guidance and kindness left a lasting impact on the Konyak community and the Nagas as a whole. “His legacy will forever be etched in our hearts. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” he said.
