The Kohima Lotha Hoho (KLH) has expressed deep shock and grief over the brutal murder of constable Zuchanbemo Tungoe, son of the late Mhonchan Tungoe of New Changsu Village, Wokha district. Constable Tungoe, who was serving with the DEF Tuensang and currently attached to the Crime Branch, PHQ Kohima, was found dead under mysterious circumstances.
The body was discovered around 6:30 AM on 24 September 2025 along the two-lane road at Lerie, Kohima, with a gunshot wound to the head and a firearm lying beside him.
In a statement, KLH questioned how a law enforcement personnel member could be murdered in such a gruesome manner. The organization appealed to investigating agencies to promptly apprehend the perpetrators, deliver the severest punishment, and ensure justice for the bereaved family.
