The Joint Village Council of Moya, Amikioro, and Kiuro villages has appealed to the Nagaland state government to expedite the development of the Lower Likimro Hydro Project, emphasizing the project’s importance for regional growth and community welfare.
In a statement, the joint council expressed appreciation for the government’s initiative, describing the hydro project as a long-awaited development that will serve as a valuable asset for the Naga community. The council urged all sections of the community to extend full cooperation to ensure the project’s smooth and timely implementation.
The statement also warned that any attempts to sabotage the project would not be tolerated. The council expressed confidence in Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio’s leadership and called on authorities to take all necessary steps to materialize the project at the earliest.
Copies of the appeal have been forwarded to the Chief Minister, the Minister of Power, the local MLAs and advisors, and the Yimkhiung Tribal Council for information and necessary action.
