The Meluri District Level Science Seminar 2025 was held today at the EBRC Hall, Meluri, under the theme “The Quantum Age Begins: Potentials and Challenges.” The event, organized under the aegis of the Directorate of School Education, Nagaland, sought to encourage scientific inquiry and critical thinking among students.

The program began with a welcome address and introduction of contestants by Chairperson Pharhetho, LDA, followed by a keynote address from SDEO Meluri, Kaitunchap Newmai, who highlighted the importance of nurturing curiosity and innovation among young learners.

Students from various schools presented papers that explored both the opportunities and the challenges posed by quantum science. After an engaging round of presentations, jurists announced the winners:
First Prize: Pfülürü Pichurü, Class 9, St. Xavier Hr. Sec. School, Meluri
Second Prize: Kinglesü Jangri, Class 10, GHS Sütsü
Third Prize: Miss Tselamsü Tongru, Class 8, GMS Meluri Village

The prize distribution and photo session were graced by Thsuchuvi Nyusou, ToT. In his closing remarks, SDEO Newmai thanked the participants, teachers, jurists, and the organizing team for their contributions in making the seminar a success.

The seminar concluded with renewed inspiration for students to embrace science as a pathway to knowledge, innovation, and nation-building.
