The Nagaland University Students’ Union, NUSU (L), organized a Jersey Launching Ceremony at the Department of Political Science Conference Hall, Lumami, on October 14, 2025, ahead of the upcoming MDFA Trophy 2025.
The program was chaired by Nohovonu Zao, with an opening prayer by Kivini H. Kinimi and a welcome note from Toito V. Zhimomi. Mengo Neangbo, Manager of the NU Football Team, introduced the team, while Dr. Lobeno Mozhui, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, led the dedication of the jersey with a prayer.
Special guest Dr. Abemo, Registrar of Nagaland University, encouraged the team by saying that although other teams may include hired professionals, the NU team comprises members from diverse backgrounds across the world, and that the power of unity is far greater than individual skill. He officially launched the jersey thereafter.
The program concluded with a closing prayer by Nsungbeni M. Ezung, followed by a photo session.
