The Tokhü Emong Mini Hornbill Festival was inaugurated today at Public Ground, Wokha, with MLA and Chairman SDPDB Bhandari, Achumbemo Kikon, as the Special Guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Kikon underscored the essence of Tokhü Emong as a time for unity, reflection, and strengthening community bonds. He emphasized the need to cultivate responsibility, critical thinking, and a positive mindset to drive growth and social progress within the Lotha community.

Kikon stressed the importance of collective effort in improving community welfare, particularly in sanitation and climate resilience initiatives across Wokha district.

Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Nagaland, S Phangnon Konyak has extended her warm greetings to her brothers and sisters from the Lotha community on the joyous occasion of Tokhu Emong Festival.

In her message, she stated that this beautiful festival reminds everyone to reconcile and strengthen bonds, to give thanks for a bountiful harvest, and to honour the memory of our departed loved ones.

She further wished that the spirit of Tokhu Emong fill every home with joy, peace, and prosperity.
