Recruitment drive aims to fill 1,176 Constable (GD) posts; registration process closes today

The Nagaland Police has recorded a total of 29,807 registrations for its ongoing recruitment drive as of 5:00 pm on November 6, 2025. Of these, 27,422 candidates have successfully completed the fee payment of Rs 300, the department informed.

In an update, the police reminded applicants that several registered candidates have not yet paid the examination fees and urged them to do so before 3:00 pm on November 7, the last date for submission of applications.

The recruitment drive, which began accepting online applications on October 6, aims to fill 1,176 Constable (GD) posts. It was officially announced on September 30 by the Office of the Director General of Police and is being conducted exclusively through the official portal https://nagalandpolicerecruitment.in

According to the notification, the recruitment process will include open rallies at district headquarters, conducted by the Departmental Recruitment Board and District Screening Committees. Candidates who are declared medically fit and clear the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will qualify for the written examination. Final merit will be based on combined scores from the PET and written test, followed by interviews in a 1:3 ratio.

The eligibility age range is 18 to 38 years. The minimum qualification required is Class 6 pass for Backward Tribes and Class 8 pass for Indigenous Naga Tribes of Nagaland, obtained from NBSE or any other recognized Board of School Education in India.

The written exam will consist of 80 multiple-choice questions carrying 40 marks, to be completed within two hours. The questions will cover general awareness, Indian history, politics, social sciences, mathematics, sports, Naga culture and heritage, and general aptitude.
