Preparations for the upcoming 77uba United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC) are gaining momentum at Tutheze Village, Kiphire, with the community and local leaders working collectively to host the event scheduled from 13–15 January 2026.

Preparations underway for 77th USSC at Tutheze Village
As part of the preparations, a team from the USSC visited the village, where a prayer and brief program were held. The prayer was led by Dr H Apise, Associate Secretary, USBLA Sub Centre Kiphire, who also guided the day’s proceedings.

During the visit, USSC Executive Chairman Aketo V Sangtam informed that villagers had raised concerns regarding the poor condition of the road leading to Tutheze. Following discussions, the team met Shri Yangpongse and Keritong, who agreed to assist by deploying six excavator machines to repair the entire stretch. Aketo expressed gratitude to the donors and acknowledged the support of USBLA, Shri Yangpongse, and T Kirithong Sangtam for their timely help.

Welcoming the team, the Chairman of Tutheze Village said it was a great honour for the small village to host the 77uba celebration, and expressed appreciation for the assistance being extended. He added that the contributions made for the event would be remembered by the community.

Speaking on behalf of the donors, Yangpongse conveyed his hope that the 77uba USSC celebration would bring blessings to Tutheze and the wider community, and wished for unity and progress among all.

He also extended thanks to MLA YM Humtsoe for sponsoring the day’s lunch.
