Speaking on the theme, independent research scholar Dr Moakumla Longkumer described the 62-year journey of the Union as an act of divine grace. She explained that the theme, which may be interpreted as “Enlargement through unity” or “Growth through unity,” reflects two distinct yet complementary elements essential for both individual and societal progress. Citing the ongoing regional tensions in Manipur as an example, she emphasized that conflict often stems from the absence of unity, urging the community to strengthen ties through relationship-building.

In his message of encouragement, N Wati Jamir observed that while people from the village possess a strong command of language, such talent must be paired with knowledge gained through learning about and understanding the work of others, to unlock greater opportunities for advancement.

Delivering his address, I Nukshi Aola called upon elders to demonstrate responsible leadership and set positive examples for younger generations. He also encouraged collective effort toward ensuring the grand success of the Village Church’s Quasquicentennial celebration scheduled for 2026.

Earlier, CSTM President T Ngakoba delivered the welcome address, while Vice President Lanuakum Jamir proposed the vote of thanks.  (Contributed by Sentilong Longkumer)
