The Editor and staff of Tir Yimyim and the Mokokchung Press Club have expressed deep sorrow over the passing of S Aienla, wife of senior correspondent Aso Imsong of Tir Yimyim, Ao-Naga Daily. She passed away on the morning of December 18 at her residence in Chuchuyimpang village under Mokokchung district.

In a condolence message issued from Dimapur, the Editor and staff of Tir Yimyim said they mourn the loss of a family member and conveyed their grief over her sudden demise. Remembering her life, the message noted that Late S Aienla was “not only a supportive and caring wife for her husband and family,” but also a committed servant of the Lord. She served as an associate pastor in the Christian Education Ministry at Chuchuyimpang Baptist Church.

“In her death, her family lost a caring mother and  supportive  wife, and the church lost a young leadership and promising shepherd and we lost a great personality who was a source of our strength which will be difficult to forget and recover,” the message read.

“Nevertheless, even at this hour of bereavement, we are comforted to know that our good Lord given her husband a good time to take care of her even at the time of her last breath and her peaceful departure assured us her joyous resting place in heaven,” it added.

Prayers were offered for strength and comfort for Aso Imsong and the bereaved family.

The Mokokchung Press Club, in its condolence message, also expressed its deepest sorrow at her passing. It recalled her service as the associate pastor of the Child Education Ministry, Chuchuyimpang Baptist Church, where her life and service touched many young lives.

“Her dedication, compassion, and quiet strength will be remembered with gratitude,” the press club conveyed.

The press club extended condolences on behalf of the press fraternity of Mokokchung to Aso Imsong, their son and daughter, and the extended bereaved family.

Both messages concluded with prayers for comfort and peace for the bereaved family and paid tribute to her life of service.
